- As part of a 225 kV underground connection project to a customer substation, RTE must overcome five major obstacles and plans to achieve these crossings using a trenchless technique.
The geological context is restrictive and the use of horizontal directed drilling has been excluded during the design phase due to these geological constraints.
The solution adopted during the study phase provides for pile driving to cross the railway tracks, while the other obstacles are crossed by open trenches.
