Description:
Andra wishes to set up a contract for alternative studies of the Cigeo surface nuclear installation. These services are part of the objective of reducing the overall cost of ownership of the Cigeo storage center set by ministerial decree on January 15, 2016 and which brings the Awill implement an ambitious design optimization process, without deviating from the safety of the installations which remains an absolute priority. At this stage of the project, this "alternative study of the surface nuclear installation of the Cigeo project", similar to a sketch level, is eexplored as a potential alternative to the reference solution described in the design justification for nuclear installations in the Creation Authorization Request (DAC). Andra has identified a certain number of avenues for optimizing the Cigeo INB. Among the ident optimizationsified for the surface nuclear installation in charge of managing storage packages, only a part could be integrated during the APD study phase. Indeed, certain avenues which may constitute a questioning of certain requirements or design input data such as thechronicle of packages and flows, required a prior assessment of their feasibility and the deadlines required to carry out these studies were not compatible with the calendar objectives for the end of the APD studies and the submission of the DUP and DAC files.
