Description:
Maritime containers and/or the goods they transport are likely to undergo fumigation treatments before, or even during transport. The gases used during these treatments can be colorless and odorless and are known to some, for their persistence and toxicity. The presence of these different chemical agents therefore represents a potential danger for the agents in charge of sanitary and phytosanitary controls of the Veterinary and Phytosanitary Inspection Service in borders (SIVEP), since they may be exposed to it when carrying out identity checks and physical checks on goods transported in these maritime containers. Therefore, the measurement of residual gases present in the atmosphere of inspected containers is necessary to protect inspection agents at border control posts (PCF), in addition to other preventive measures put in place. The result of this measurement conditions the way of understanding the controls and thus makes it possible to limit the risks of exposure to these toxic gases of personnel of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry. The aim of this contract is to establish systematic measurement of residual gases present in maritime containers before their opening for sanitary or phytosanitary control at the border control post (PCF) of the veterinary and phytosanitary inspection service at the borders...
