Description:
La Poste's parcel processing network is structured around a network of 16 Parcel Platforms (PFCs) spread across mainland France and each processing several tens of millions of parcels per year. Different generations of PFC coexist with varying equipment levels.
ChThe PFC concerned by this Contract Notice has an automated parcel sorter powered by 8 to 12 injection lines grouped into 2 islands and bulk or container outlets. All injection lines are equipped with a scale to weigh the packages individually but this equipmentare currently not capable of providing certified measurements.
The sorters are managed by sorting intelligence developed by La Poste, OPB, which is interfaced with the machine's automation and Colissimo information systems.
Measured information also go back to OPB.
It should be noted that the PFCs concerned by the program are all equipped with a sorter with tilting trays, made of wood and with a curved shape. The packages are fed one by one by an operator then conveyed to the scale.
The project therefore aims to preferentially update or replace theweight measuring devices so that the measured information is certified on the 9 PFCs located in mainland France. This corresponds to a forecast volume of 86 scales in total.
