Description:
The Department of Seine-Maritime owns and manages six sites and museums:
- The Cleres Park,
- La Maison Vacquerie - Victor Hugo Museum (museum of France),
- The Museum of Norman Traditions and Arts - Chateau de Martainville (museum of France),
- Jumieges Abbey,
- The Gardens of Saint-Georges Abbey,
- The Roman theater of Lillebonne.
These cultural sites are both places of permanent or temporary exhibitions and places of conservation. Furthermore, two of the six sites are labeled Musee de France, which implies standards and constraints. particular on conservation.
Furthermore, the Department manages the departmental archives, the preservation and promotion of a departmental collection of works of art as well as the management of the departmental media library which, as part of its missions, is required to equip and repair a certain number of documents (books, CDs, DVDs) on site. For this it is necessary to acquire specific supplies.
Also to fulfill these functions of exhibition, promotion and conservation, the Department of Seine-Maritime must equip itself with equipment allowing the realization logistics of exhibitions (bases, frames, room furniture, etc.) as well as equipment used for the preventive conservation of collections on site (conservation boxes, collection marking equipment, specific papers, etc.).
