• Description:
• This contract concerns the study of the use by avifauna of the Lambarde immersion zone of the Grand Port Maritime of Nantes Saint-Nazaire. Maintenance dredging of the Grand Port Maritime de Nantes Saint-Nazaire (GPMNSN) and their immersion on the Lambarde zone are authorized by the interprefectural decree of December 27, 2024. This decree provides, in particular, for monitoring of avifauna in the sector of the Lambarde immersion zone which is represented in the following figure and covers 1000 ha. The objective of the study is to identify the functional role of the area for the species and in particular the Balearic Shearwater and to evaluate the interactions with the clapage, in order to assess the potential impacts on the avifauna and in particular on the Balearic Shearwater. The study concerns, for each species observed and in particular for the Balearic Shearwater, on: - the carrying out of observation campaigns at sea within the study area defined in order to know the species of seabirds who frequent the immersion site; - comparing the data acquired with those of previous available studies (PANSN, 2009; GPMNSN, 2011; AFB, 2019; Biotope, 2020, ...).
