Description:
The Carei viaduct, north apron (direction 2 PR 220+347), has 10 spans over a total length of 520 meters, and requires being reinforced. The works aim in particular:
- repair and strengthening of the two east and west aprons, of the prestressed box type,
- the change of devicesSupport in neoprene freight on the p5 battery,
- The change in the pavement joint,
- related work for repairing work and improvement of access to aprons.
Only the north apron is affected by these reinforcement works.
Strengthening and repairing of the Carei North viaductOn the A8
highway, the North Carei viaduct is located on the A8 motorway: it requires being reinforced following transverse cracks and loss of prestressing frames observed due to an initial design at the IP1 which does not take into account the flucture and the thermal gradient.
The reinforcement and repair work of the structure includes in particular:
- Reinforcement by additional prestressing: 67,500 kg of Gaineed Toron and 10,400 kg of bar;
- Local reinforcement per carbon tissue: around 24 m2 of surface to be treated;
- The injection of cracks: Approximately 630 ml;
- The cylinder on a battery and replacement of two Elastomer support apparatuses Frette;
- The replacement of the pavement joint: approximately 10 ml.
Only the north apron is affected by these reinforcement works.
