The Syndicat Mixte Entre Pic et Etang exercises waste treatment competence for the 6 member groupings of municipalities: Community of Agglomeration of Pays de l'Or; Community of Communes of Grand Pic St Loup; The agglomeration of Lunel Agglo Community of Communes Rhony-Vistre-Vidourle; Community of Communes of the Pays de Sommieres; Community of Communes Terre de Camargue. Its territory brings together 89 municipalities representing approximately 224,000 sedentary inhabitants of the South-East sector of Herault and the South-West sector of Gard. The waste collected by the groups joins the treatment installations under service contract or Public Service Delegation (DSP). Energetique (UVE) of Lunel-Viel, which treats non-hazardous household waste by incineration. the monitoring and control of atmospheric emissions within the installation. imposes a monitoring program for the impact of its discharges on the environment around the installation. of The Union has chosen to take charge of this monitoring.
