• Description:
• The MV/MV transformers equipping the Source Substations may be subject to faults leading to fire. This type of fire, due to the burning object representing a large mass of flammable material with a high calorific content (dielectric oil), can prove destructive for installations and difficult to control, especially since access to the premises can be complex. Speed ​​in controlling and extinguishing the fire is a crucial factor in avoiding the spread of the fire which could cause damage to the Source Station or its environment. The provisions Constructive containment measures make it possible to avoid the spread of fire to neighboring installations, but their effectiveness remains limited over time.
