  • Description:
  • The city of Salies-du-Salat (Haute-Garonne) is one of the cities most affected by the flood risk in the Salat basin. First, the city of Salies is very frequently flooded by a river, the Goutas, partly buried under the city. Solutions must be identified to reduce the risk of flooding by this watercourse. Secondly, the Salat is bordered on a left bank by the former SCNF remblai, today a cycle path. The results of hydraulic modeling during the PAPI of intention showed that it played a role in flood of the Salat. The SSV wishes to improve the knowledge of the state of this backfill and refine the results of the hydraulic study taking into account in particular the hydraulic data of the Goutas, watercourse which crosses this embankment to throw itself into the Salat downstream of the city of Salies-du-Salat.
