Description:
The purpose of this process is to qualify 2 types of insulators for the RATP Metro network. This process is divided into 2 qualification systems, for each type of insulator, as follows:
- Type 1: Insulator for the Metro network on railway tracks, following the recommendations of the sptechnical specification ST-004 and plans 18290 and 18619.
These insulators are mainly intended to electrically isolate the T52 bar (3rd rail), which conducts the traction current, from the track platform.
For information purposes, the need annual is approximately 1000 insulators.
- Type 2: Isolators for the Metro network on pneumatic tracks (aerial and underground tracks), following the recommendations of technical specification ST-005 and plans 14894, 19114, 19340 and 19336.
These insulators are intended to absorb the significant mechanical forces transmitted by the wheels ofguiding the metros on pneumatics to the angle guide bars, while electrically insulating this profile, which also conducts the traction current, from the track platform.
For information, the annual requirement is approximately 1200 insulators (1000 insulators for underground tracks and 200 airway insulators).
