Description:
The drinking water supply between Void and Vacon is currently ensured by a DN 250mm cast iron pipe, in 2ml sections. The pipe dates from the beginning of the 20th century, the fittings are therefore made with lead joints in the collars of each section, which poses a health problem. On the other hand, the nominal diameter of the pipe is oversized, which is due to the fact that production at the time of laying the pipe was ensured at Vacon (around 250 inhabitants) by source capture and the supply for the entire Commune of Void probably required, in the absence of a reservoir and booster, a significant diameter. The pipe in question measures approximately 3000ml. The municipality is recruiting its project manager to carry out the change of this pipeline.
