- The Neuhof-sud district is experiencing a significant increase in the number of children to be accommodated in nursery and elementary schools.
The operation aims to create a school group which will be able to accommodate 180 students in nursery and 356 students in elementary. It will include 18 classes(8 nursery classes including 2 toddlers and 10 elementary classes), premises dedicated to after-school activities and catering, a multi-purpose room, staff accommodation and outdoor spaces. The school restaurant will be sized to produce 430 meals consumed on site and360 meals provided with a direct connection to the Alice Mosnier and Hirondelles schools. The total useful surface area of the school group will be approximately 4,200m2.
The selected site is located at the corner of rue des Jesuites and rue Schengen at the rear of the Stockfeld gymnasium and in the immediate vicinity of the college.e of Stockfeld. The building aims for a passive level of performance, beyond the requirements of the new energy and environmental regulations RE2020.
It is envisaged to impose in the work program an innovative construction method in the geosourced and biosourced sector (earth construction).e flood and wood sector and possibly straw sector) which will make it possible to deliver a building with a low carbon footprint by promoting the circular economy and local materials, and to offer a building which aims for more efficient and resilient summer comfort in the face of changes climatic.
