Description:
The noue of the pits presents itself as a temporary flow, the loading of which is done in winter or during spring floods. His diet is done by the overflows of the Marne or by raising a tablecloth from which it results from more or less important depressions in the minor bed until they form ponds or small bodies of water. Despite the noted presence of the fish population, its operation is therefore specific to that of a wetland rather than a stream yet defined as such. The main objective of the work is to improve the functionality of this area humid which is today relatively uniform with uncatchive habitats. Located between the bed of the Guenelle and the Marne, and in the agricultural and prairial sector, the knot of the pits can be considered as a real zone of transit and refuge for terrestrial and aquatic fauna.
