Description:
The current judicial court is distributed over three sites from the historic center of the city of Moulins: former Jesuit college (Historical Court), former gendarmerie and Palais d'Ansac. The project provides for the regrouping of judicial activities on the historic site of the former college ofJesuits as well as in the old gendarmerie located on an adjoining plot in the heart of the islet. The former Jesuit college built in the 17th century is classified as historic monuments, it is an ERP of 3rd category of around 2450 m2 spread over 3 levels of which partially furnished,The building notably houses the Assize Court of the Allier. The old gendarmerie is a building built in the 19th of a lesser heritage value, it is an ERP of 5th category of around 1250 m2 spread over 5 levels including cellars and attic and presenting access difficulties. Total workforce (out -of -public)of the courthouse is around 70 people (civil servants and magistrates). The ambition of the project led by the Ministry of Justice is to restore its full measure to the Moulins judicial court. On the one hand by restoring good safety and working conditions of staff,welcoming the public and litigants. On the other hand by implementing the conservation and enhancement of this heritage whose monumental architecture illustrates the image of the institution and the action of the State.
