The city of Autun has been initiated since the beginning of 2020 in the renovation and extension project of the Rolin museum by the restoration, restructuring and enhancement of existing built heritage, protected under the Historic Monuments and the Remarkable Heritage Site (SPR). That Includes the renovation and restructuring of the Rolin Hotel, which he currently occupies, as well as buildings that adjoin him: an old circular prison built in 1856, the courthouse, former hotel of the bailiwick of the XVIIth-XVIIIth century, and the Hallencourt hall of the 18th century. There City of Autun thus marks the desire for a real transfer from the museum, transformation of identity, urban positioning and relations to audiences, at the service of an entire territory. A political project, carried by the City and its partners at the forefront of which the State and the Region Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, with the deep conviction that heritage and culture fully participate in the attractiveness, prosperity and the development of a territory and its inhabitants.
