Description: Context: The Department of Charente-Maritime will carry out a road development of general interest, on the RD 750 at the level of the municipalities of Royan and Médis, intended to secure the entry of Royan . Following the diagnosis of preventive archeology carried out by the departmental archeology department in April 2019, a prescription for excavation was issued by the regional archeology service. The departmental archeology service will carry out the search in direct and will relate to two major chronological periods, the Neolithic materialized by a Neolithic enclosure and internal arrangements (post hole, pits) and the contemporary period through the presence of vestiges of the Second World War linked to the Atlantic Wall (Bunkers, Traffic Trenches, Camouflage Structures).
