Description:
As part of the ambitious requalification of the old center of Marignane, the city is carrying out a structuring project mixing heritage catering, urban revitalization and cultural valuation: the creation of the Arts School. This operation is part of a global rehabilitation program Housing buildings, repair of public buildings and revaluation of historic islets. Two of them, the i1 island and the C1 island, are specifically dedicated to the installation of the school.
The i1 island, located on the edge of the Place des Oliviers, will host music lessons and administration. The C1 island, neighboring the chevet of the church, will be reserved for large dance, theater, collective music rooms, plastic arts spaces, the orchestra room as well as other places of artistic expression. The latter is delimited by the Victor Hugo streets, Courtissade and old fox. It consists of 17 plots of old habitat distributed over an area of approximately 24 by 40 meters. The architectural project respects the historical framework of the plot and retains the morphology of the typical island of the old center. The most significant facades, especially those From rue Victor Hugo, are preserved or returned identically when their state justifies it, maintaining the original drilling, the old frames and the vertical rhythms of the berries.
