- This is an announcement of an Open Market Consultation regarding a potential future pre-commercial procurement (PCP) of R&D services concerning on-site treatment of hospital wastewater. The future PCP will be composed of three phases: Phase 1. Solution design: Phase 1 of the PCP will deal with the design of the solutions and verification of their technical and economic feasibility based on functional requirements. It will be implemented according to the tender documents in compliance with the procurement principles and the PCP methodology. Several technology providers will be selected for this phase. Phase 2. Prototype implementation: Phase 2 of the PCP concerns the development of the first prototypes of the solutions and testing at the procurers- premises under controlled conditions. Several technology providers will be selected for this phase. Phase 3. Validation and demonstration of the solutions: Phase 3 of the PCP will deal with testing and validation of the selected solutions in operational environments. It will take place in several Member States. A minimum of 2 operators per challenge will be selected for this phase. The selected operators will retain ownership of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) that they will generate during the PCP and will be able to use them to exploit the full market potential of the developed solutions.
