Description:
The subject of the contract is the manufacture and installation of a high-speed gas launcher capable of launching projectiles and plates with a diameter of up to 50 mm at speeds between 300 and 1,300 m/s. The impacts require a very high degree of precision and will therefore be carried out under vacuum conditions. Due to the need for very precise control of the impact angle between the projectile and the target in time scales ranging from a few hundred nanoseconds to a few microseconds, a precise rectangular groove must be machined along the entire length of the barrel. The impact chamber must meet the following requirements: (1) protection from debris after impact; (2) gentle recovery of post-impact samples; (3) ports for connecting optical and electronic instruments from outside to inside the chamber.
