Tenders are invited for Low-Cost and Reliable Solutions for Autonomous Flight Termination Safety (Locrafts) - Expro+ The objective of the activity is to derisk in short timeframe low-cost and reliable solutions for Autonomous Flight Termination Safety (AFTS). The development of an autonomous safeguard unit that would ensure the launcher GNSS-based localisation and neutralisation decision without the support of the ground stations requires to demonstrate robustness of this approach with respect to GNSS interference, jamming, spoofing attacks, scintillation, antenna shadowing or shock during stage separation. It also relies on an IMU-based navigation solution that shall combine good accuracy, reliability and cost-effectiveness. The objective is to assess low-cost architectures and advanced techniques to enhance robustness of the launcher GNSS-based localisation systems and the autonomous decision process. After the identification of potential application and the definition of related requirements, the activity shall allow identifying the potential gains in terms of performance and/or recurring costs and then demonstrate the ability of the technology to bring these gains to the identified potential application by manufacturing and testing a breadboard of the proposed technology.Read more
