Description:
As part of the NPNRU, the city of Mulhouse launched an urban study on the Coteaux district. The study was conducted by the Atelier Ruelle design office and one of the main themes focused on school groups. After an analysis phase, the construction of new school groups has become the start of the hills renovation project. An educational project has therefore been set up by the city with the aim of renovating and building several schools, deemed priority by the city of Mulhouse with regard to buildings, conditions and reception capacities.
The choice of the city fell on the creation of 3 school groups: the destruction and reconstruction of the Henri Matisse school, the rehabilitation of the Camus school as well as the construction of a new school group on the Peoplars.
This consultation relates to demolition work of the old school and the construction of the Helene Burger school group. The school will be located in the field of the current elementary school which extends over 13,030m2. It is located north of the Coteaux district and is part of the UN1 area of the city PLU. Ultimately, the school group will have to receive :
- 23 classrooms: 1 gateway class / 8 maternal classes / 14 elementary classes
- extracurricular for 30% of students: extracurricular reception / a catering (1 maternal service and 2 elementary services)
