- As part of its commitments and actions to better understand, preserve and restore biodiversity, CNR has been carrying out or commissioning eDNA prospecting campaigns for 10 years. These innovative biotechnologies are increasingly used in the projects carried out by CNR and its subsidiaries.are. CNR thus wishes to engage in more marked collaborations for the implementation of eDNA methods. At this stage, the main use of eDNA is in aquatic environments (river, rivers, annexes), and in particular in large current river environments such as the Rhone. Settingimplementation of eDNA tools in other environments (soils, forests, meadows, air, etc.) are also considered. The taxonomic groups sought are often restricted to aquatic environments (fish, bivalves, etc.) but total biodiversity can be the subject of research via eDNA (eukaryotes,mammiferes, flore, ...).
