Description:
A counting system present at the various entrances and exits of the Museum of Arts was installed for the reopening of the museum in 2017. This is an automated counting system provided by the company 3D Counting. Several two-way 3D sensors were installed above 6 access doors to the museum. The counting data could be viewed on proprietary data visualization and processing software. The system was designed to ensure compliance with fire safety gauges in the building in accordance with fire safety regulations for Establishments Receiving Audience. This obligation has been recalled in the reports of the security commission since 2013 in the methods of calculating the number of members of the public that can be admitted: counting system installed so as to limit the number to less than 1,500 people for the entire site and to less than 300 people for the Oratory Chapel (in accordance with article Y2 §2) - provisions accepted by the Municipal Security Commission on 07/29/2013. Following the closure of the 3D Counting company in 2021, the Museum of Arts' automated counting system is now out of service. Therefore and in order to ensure its regulatory obligations in terms of safety gauge management, the Museum of Arts has implemented a degraded system based on manual counting, pending replacement of the automated counting system.
