• Tenders are invited for Impact Study on CFI's Support for Local Radio Stations in French-Speaking Sub-Saharan Africa. CFI wishes to conduct a study on the impact of its action on the sustainability of local radio stations in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa over the past 10 years. For this, the agency wishes to be accompanied by a service provider, responsible for carrying out this study. Carrying out this mission is part of the continuity of an internal process of reflection on CFI's action and its effects. For the sake of efficiency, accountability and learning, CFI wishes to identify its contribution to the change sought with the media and journalists, their audiences, the various groups of beneficiaries, and in general, the countries in which the agency intervenes. This study focuses on the question of sustainability, a central issue for the majority of the media and in particular local radio stations. We understand sustainability as a plural concept that covers different realities, ranging from the media's ability to build a sustainable economic model, to maintaining a consistent editorial line and regular content production, through the stability of resources. of the media as well as its recognition by the profession and by its audience. The main focus of this study is local radio stations in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, a priority that is both thematic and geographic for CFI. This impact study will provide some answers to a main question: is CFI's support for local radio stations useful for the media and the beneficiary journalists, for their audience and for the pluralism of expressions and the debate ideas in their country? Thus the study will also focus on the human resources mobilized by CFI to support these radio stations, namely its network of local trainers. The French media development agency wishes to use qualitative and quantitative analytical tools to carry out this applied and participatory research approach, in constant dialogue with its partners, with the main objective of improving its action, for the sake of transparency, accountability and efficiency.
