Description:
In the continuity of its policy on aquatic environments and within the framework of the actions selected in the Territorial Water Territorial Contracts held (2024-2026) and Large Place (2025-2027), the Grand Place Estuary union carries out structuring developments aimed at improving the quality of water watersuperficial.
It involves restoring or creating wet buffer spaces and afforestation (hedges, groves) between the hydrographic network (main watercourses, streams) and so -called risk areas. The so -called risky areas are cultivated terrain (drained, with a strong slope, in Bocageloose ...) and the waterproofing spaces (urban areas, road network ...).
These development actions aim to:
- Promote the purifying functions of natural environments,
- Promote the infiltration of runoffs,
- Reduce the start of sand to watercourses and therefore allowFind habitats for fauna and flora.
The implementation of these developments stems from the plot diagnoses carried out upstream, from consultation between the technician and the operator and a voluntary approach of the operator.
