The framework agreement will be executed by the conclusion of subsequent contracts.
In September 2023, Port Atlantique La Rochelle (PALR) obtained a new prefectural decree authorizing it to continue its maintenance dredging activity.
Dredging operations maintenance of PALR consists of regular dredgingment the superficial sedimentary deposits of maritime access and slag, corresponding to natural inputs, so that ships with deep draft can access the quays. The sediments dredged during operations are discharged into the sea in the historic area of "Lavardin".
This newsThis authorization is accompanied by measures to be put in place throughout the duration of the authorization (10 years). Some of these measures concern the implementation of environmental monitoring specific to the marine environment:
- Monitoring the bacteriological and physico-chemical quality of water and sedimentsports (sampling, analysis and interpretation of results);
- Monitoring of fish populations (sampling, identification, data processing and interpretation of results) in the Lavardin dumping area over two seasons for a minimum of 4 years. A line will be madebeam trawl on 7 stations each campaign. Two fisheries monitoring must also be carried out during the duration of the authorization in port waters;
