Description:
The objective of digitization is to guarantee two fundamental aspects: on the one hand the preservation of silver stereotypes, essential to scientific documentation of excavations and representing 35 years of work, and on the other hand allow via their simplified accessibility for archaeologists, to be integrated into the ISHTAR database and thus contribute to the work of BPA. Once digitized, the fund can be managed only in digital form, while silver documents can be stored under appropriate thermal conditions. The fund is made up of around 75,000 photographs. It is made up of 24x36 mm slides under cover, black and white negatives 24x36 mm, medium format film and 4x5 inches. The 24x36 mm are either positive colors (slides) or black and white negatives.
