- The subject of this consultation is the optimization and correction of atmospheric forcing biases by artificial intelligence for global ocean forecasting and reanalysis systems. The objectives are as follows: § Develop and optimize a production chain for forcing global systems by providing forcing production capabilities on different platforms, including the European DTO, and the possibility of using a wide diversity of data sources. That includes atmospheric forcing by wind, heat and mass fluxes at the ocean/atmosphere interface. Develop a bias correction methodology dedicated to different forcing fields for application to large-scale time series scale and long term for reanalyses as well as small scale for real-time analysis or short-term forecasting. An artificial intelligence-based methodology using a reference dataset comprising ocean/atmosphere observations and simulations will need to be developed for optimal compatibility with the European DTO.
