Description:
Created by the law of July 24, 2019 relating to the organization and transformation of the health system, the health data platform (PDS) is a public interest group (GIP) bringing together 56 stakeholders, mainly from the public sphere (CNAM, CNRS, High Authority for Health, France Assos Health, etc.). It implements the main orientations of the State in terms of the exploitation of health data, in particular those set by the Ministry of Health. Its funding is mainly public.
PDS's mission is to facilitate the use of health data to improve Quality of care and support health innovation. For this, it offers an integrated offer of services: support for project leaders, provision of a secure technological platform, structuring and enrichment of data with high scientific potential. It is in particular Responsible, by law, to bring together, organize and make available data from the National Health Data System (SNDS).
In accordance with the decree of June 29, 2021, the PDS shares with the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) the joint responsibility of the SNDS, whose main base is currently managed by the CNAM.
This basis consists of medico -administrative data from several sources: health insurance (SNIIRAM), hospitals (PMSI), medical causes of death (CEPIDC - INSERM), data relating to disability (MDPH via CNSA).
