- Clinical trials relating to the drug;
- Research involving the human person (Riph)
- Research does not imply the human person (RNIPH)
- Clinical investigations (Medical Devices- DM);
- Performance studies (In vitro diagnostic medical devices- DMDIV))

more specifically, these audits can relate to:

- The conduct of research on an investigation or delegated promotion site;
- A delegated service in the context of research (monitoring,Research conduct, pharmaceutical, logistics, data-management, computerized tools and systems, biological samples, etc.);
- preparation for an inspection (EMA, FDA, PMDA).
