Provisional date for the start of the market of the city of Villeurbanne provides its 162,000 inhabitants with a public reading network made up of two library, an EACS (artistic, cultural and scientific education) service and three media libraries: the Image Book House andsound, the Tonkin media library and the Rize media library. With 16,628 active users and 330,000 borrowable documents, all supports (books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, games, etc.), all of these establishments operate in the Syracuse document management system (Archimed) andmake around 1.7 million annual loan and return transactions. The project consists in the implementation, in the three media libraries, of a self-service system in RFID for the loans of documents meeting the expectations and needs of the public andprofessionals
